Each and every Saturday at 10:30 am we welcome families! Make friends with music through music-based activities, concerts and instrument demonstrations.

Our educational programmes for adults include a range of open study lectures, club events, film screenings and workshops, along with a wide variety of music genres.

We offer music education sessions on a whole range of topics, for young people from pre-school to secondary school age groups. What these events have in common, however, is their link to our permanent exhibition, and the joy of making live music together.

Activities:

Whether it’s a school class, a small group, or an individual, our themed tours provide participants with the chance to learn about our building and our exhibitions, and an opportunity to experience the joy of music.

The Multimedia Library and Club of the House of Hungarian Music satisfies a need that has existed in the non-classical music scene for decades: it is a knowledge base and information centre where researchers and others with an interest in music can find the most important written, audio, visual and film documents on the history of Hungarian light (pop, rock, jazz, blues and folk) music – books on pop culture, records, films, periodicals, radio and television shows, posters and a photo gallery – in one place. The material is only available for research on the premises of the institution.
