Stage Call! – Frozen Steak | SOLKYM
Frozen Steak formed in 2012 as a garage rock/blues band. Since then, they have developed a passion for making permanent, self-produced records with cute animals on the covers. What they do is combine a raw ‘it's fine as it is’ sound made up of rough rehearsal room improvisations, early blues and ’60s-’70s psychedelia with modern rock music, if such a thing still exists. Rarely appearing live, Frozen Steak mostly prefer to compose and record in the semi-darkness of Stanza Lamberia, their acoustically panelled studio.
SOLKYM tells stories through instrumental music, with songs ranging from post-rock to electronic dance music, and without restriction to genre. This year also saw the launch of SOLKYM’s side project, the post-punk ‘boszorkányok pedig nincsenek’, (‘Witches Do Not Exist’) which recently made its debut with the song ‘KÉT ÁLLAT’ (‘TWO ANIMALS’), which had animation supplied by Balázs Gróf and was remixed by Man + Machine.
