Tradition and Free Music
The first two events in our series entitled Tradition and Free Music were both sold-out, unique concerts with a great atmosphere, presenting Asian musical traditions rarely heard in Hungary, performed jointly by local and foreign musicians. The concerts Altai and Nogai Epic Poems of Central Asia and Epic Poems of Alpamis and Manas from Central Asia will now be followed by a free event on the Open-Air Stage: the Tajik epic poem Gurguli and the collective Sufi trance Kurbazm from the Pamir Foothills. The encounter between improvised free music and traditional Central Asian music gives rise to productions that are unique even on a global scale.
