SOLDOUT - András Moldoványi: Variants for variations
In our Piano Tuning series, András Moldoványi uses one classical and two romantic works to explore the popularity and function of variation. A variation is nothing more than the alteration in certain aspects of a basic idea or theme, but in such a way that the original theme remains recognisable. It is not only a basic compositional technique in any composer's toolbox, but can also provide the formal framework for multi-movement pieces: almost every famous composer produced at least one variation sequence. On this occasion we will hear works by Haydn, Schumann and Liszt.
The concerts of our Tuned to Piano program series can easily captivate those who are still far from the world of romantic piano literature, while they also hold new experiences for those who come to the House of Music Hungary as black-belt classical music fans.
According to current regulations, from March 7, 2022, it is no longer obligatory to wear a mask when visiting the House of Music Hungary. Concerts, programs and exhibitions can be attended without a vaccination certificate or card.
Nevertheless we still encourage you to wear a mask during concerts. All current rules are subject to change based on the all-time rules and regulations of the government. We kindly ask you to check all current regulations for your event on our website before your visit in each case.
