Béla Bartók: Bluebeard's Castle

The BDZ Chamber Workshop is a group formed by artists from the Budafok Dohnányi Orchestra, which, thanks to its unique lineup, is able to present well-known musical works in a distinctive, innovative arrangement. On this occasion, Béla Bartók's masterpiece, Bluebeard's Castle, will be given a new look: Apor Szüts, the ensemble's artistic director, has transcribed the orchestral material of the famous mystery play, embodying both the intimacy of chamber music and the grandeur of symphonic sound. Two outstanding vocal soloists will perform in the piece: Krisztián Cser in the title role and Viktória Mester as Judit. The opera's iconic locations – the Torture Chamber, the Treasure House, the Empire and others – will be brought to life through special lighting effects.
