Guided tours

WE WELCOME YOU TO OUR GUIDED TOUR OF THE HOUSE OF MUSIC HUNGARY!

Meet the newly built House of Music Hungary! The House of Music, which was one of the most anticipated buildings in the international community, opened its doors to the public in 2021 with a host of surprises and curiosities. The Millennium House guides will present the naturalistic concept of Sou Fujimoto’s ground-breaking building, constructed on the site of the former Hungexpo, and the musicality it contains both inside and out. Participants will also get a glimpse of the exhibitions and programmes that it hosts.

 

INFORMATION

Only guided tours organised by the House of Music's own guides are available. Groups brought by external guides must also purchase tickets and use the House of Music guides to guarantee the quality of the tours. We regret that we are unable to accommodate groups who have not booked in advance. Please note that the tour includes neither the exhibition nor the Sound Dome. We recommend that you purchase your tickets for both the exhibition and the Sound Dome in advance, as the limited availability tickets sell out quickly during the busier weekend period.

Individual guided building tours


• Duration: 60 minutes
• Price of admission: individual guided tour (in Hungarian) 2000 HUF/person, in foreign language (English) 3000 HUF/ person (just in group)
• Maximum capacity: 30 people
• Starting location: Hungarian House of Music, Foyer
• Tickets: online here or in the Museum of Ethnography's information desk
• Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 13:00
• Saturday: 14:00
• Sunday: 11:30

The meeting place is in front of the main entrance of the building facing Olof Palme Sétány. Only guided tours organised by the House of Music's own guides are available. Groups brought by external guides must also purchase tickets and use the House of Music's guides to ensure the quality of the tours. We regret that we are unable to accommodate groups who have not booked in advance. Please note that the building tour does not include viewing the exhibition and the Sound Dome.

Times of group guided building tours

The minimum number of people per group is 9 and the maximum 30 people per group, and registration is accepted up to three days before the advertised date.

• Tuesday and Thursday: 11:30
• Saturday: 15:30
• Sunday: 10:00
