Borbély - Batyu - Lőrinszky: Improvisations
Zoltán ‘Batyu’ Farkas was one of the first and best-known figures in the dance house movement, Mihály Borbély is the master reedist of Hungarian ethno jazz, and Attila Lőrinszky is an experimental bass player who can play a wide range of musical instruments. They will perform together for the first time at the House of Music Hungary. Zoltán ‘Batyu’ Farkas has a special place in today’s musical world. One of the earliest and best-known figures in the dance-house movement, he approaches the movement forms of folk tradition through processing and synthesizing, creating folkdance-based crossover processes that resemble folk music arrangements. Percussive, his concert material, which balances on the border between music and dance, is most often staged in two separate duo formations.
