Concert and Hungarian folk dance event: Sarjú Banda
These young musicians made their debut as soloists in 2015 as part of the “Fölszállott a Páva” Hungarian Television Talent competition. They first competed and showcased their talents individually, but behind the scenes began making music together. With the support of their families and artistic director, Barbara Kuczera, close friendships were created and a new band was born. The mission of the band is to study, preserve, and promote authentic Hungarian instrumental folk music. Its members study from the masters of their trade with joy and respect, focusing on the revival of traditional village music as they strive to keep the village musicians’ legacies alive on stage and in dance houses.
