Takáts Tamás remains the leader of the Tamás Takáts Dirty Blues Band that he founded in the early 1990s, as well as continuing to front the then-reunited Karthago. On the Hungarian rock scene, he is an essential presence, and is thus connected in many ways to the House of Music's exhibition of Hungarian pop history, They Wrote that Song for Us! The Golden Age and Social Impact of Hungarian Pop Music, from 1957 to the Change of Political System.
