From Megastar to Spotify -Music TV and talent scouts

In this series of conversations, we will review the past twenty-five years of Hungarian pop music, from commercial TV and radio music programs to YouTube and Spotify. How did TV talent shows influence the development of different music genres? How much power did a national radio music editor have? How did performers build their careers in the past, when they were dependent on the media, and how do they build them now, when they have complete creative freedom?
Each time, we invite guests who were present and even participated in shaping the tastes of a particular era, either consciously or by chance. A television producer, a music editor, and performers help us understand what talent is enough and how important the emergence of new platforms is. The first quarter of the 21st century was characterized by epoch-making music, bold experimentation, and adaptation to technological developments. We cover everything!
