'A thousand shades of music'
The House of Music Hungary opens its doors to the city several times a year, and this time we are offering you an insight into the musical life of the city of Veszprém through a series of special concerts and one-off events over several weeks.
The world-famous Spanish ensemble Tasto Solo will perform Landini a special musical treat, accompanied by rare instruments such as the organetto and the medieval violin. The Orlando Choral Ensemble, the Budapest Bach Consort and vocal soloists, host of the Veszprém Early Music Days, will also present D. Buxtehude's moving cantata cycle Membra Jesu Nostri. This evening will feature musical connections inspired by the chaconne form, with Hammond organist Mátyás Premecz's new Quintet, as well as Bach's ever-changing Partita in D minor, including the final, breathtaking Chaconne movement, performed by the young Swedish violinist Philip Zuckerman, who has ties to Lake Balaton.
According to current regulations, from March 7, 2022, it is no longer obligatory to wear a mask when visiting the House of Music Hungary. Concerts, programs and exhibitions can be attended without a vaccination certificate or card.
