Lukácsházi Győző Memorial Day
In the summer of 2022, Győző Lukácsházi, one of the best known and most respected representatives of music education in Hungary – founder of BonBon Matiné, editor of children's programmes on Bartók Radio, former director of the Szeged Symphony Orchestra – left us far too soon. In his memory, the House of Music Hungary are organising a professional programme in connection with our family concert that day, in which it will try to review the current situation and best practice in Hungarian concert pedagogy.
The language of the event is Hungarian.
Many people think that classical music is terribly serious. But not in the least! Most people have no idea of just how much playfulness and humour even the greatest composers have injected into their works. BonBon Matiné performs some of the most famous works by the most renowned composers, variously inspired by dogs, swans, elephants, bumblebees and who knows how many other animals. This highly entertaining show is an excellent introduction to the world of classical music for children – and adults. The programme includes pieces by classical composers such as Vivaldi, Rossini, Saint-Saens, Rimsky-Korsakov and Honegger. Many games complement the musical experience and there is even live illustration to help children find their way around this musical zoo.
This children's concert will be in Hungarian.
According to current regulations, from March 7, 2022, it is no longer obligatory to wear a mask when visiting the House of Music Hungary. Concerts, programs and exhibitions can be attended without a vaccination certificate or card.
Nevertheless we still encourage you to wear a mask during concerts. All current rules are subject to change based on the all-time rules and regulations of the government. We kindly ask you to check all current regulations for your event on our website before your visit in each case.
