Saint-Saëns: The Carnical of the Animals and Paul Patterson–Roald Dahl: Little Red Riding Hood

Music in art, art in music – a family event at the crossroads between our music education programme and City in the House – Veszprém series. In this puppet theatre performance by the Kabóca Puppet Theatre group and the Mendelssohn Chamber Orchestra, objects enjoy their own 'carnival' to the music of Saint-Saëns. Hens, roosters, occasional water animals, wild horses, and snails appear on stage, while a silly lion and a rabbit try to find their way among a world of objects, gloves, scarves and socks that also then become animals. Unique even in Roald Dahl's eerily haunting world, the story of Little Red Riding Hood (and the Wolf) is told for adults and children alike, as seen through his eyes, accompanied by Paul Patterson's stunningly inventive music, the orchestra musicians' stylized 'theatrical' performance, and audience participation...

The language of this family event is Hungarian.
