Ventoscala Sinfonietta: Hansel and Gretel

Who does not know the story of Hansel and Gretel from the Brothers Grimm? But now we present an everlasting story of love and solidarity between a pair of resourceful brothers in a way you have never heard before! The Erkel Prize-winning contemporary composer Ilona Dobszay-Meskó and one of the best-known Hungarian representatives of music education, Győző Lukácsházi, wrote a fairy-tale play for children. The performance is full of humour, and not only shows a new side to the story, but also introduces children to the realm of classical music, showing them what to listen for when listening to music and how instruments tell a story. In a unique way, as an addition, Eszter Kiskovács, a cartoonist, will illustrate the concert live, alongside the music, so we can not only hear but also see the story of Hansel and Gretel. All performed by the excellent artists of the Ventoscala Sinfonietta, who will provide an opportunity to draw to music after the concert for anyone who would like to stay and draw a little longer.

The language of this family event is Hungarian.
