Program series
The concerts in our series are designed to highlight the diversity of music. Classical, jazz and popular music are all part of the series, so if you attend our events, you will soon see that music truly has a thousand faces. What is more, following the concerts, the performers provide an opportunity to get to know the instruments that were played during the performance and take a closer look at them. Put another way, taking part in a musical journey has never been easier.

Árpád Tóth's interactive educational series Hangadó, which coincides with the House, has entered its 4th season. In 2025/26 we are preparing double performances, so we also welcome those who like to sleep late on Sundays: our performances will be repeated at 14:00 in addition to the usual 11:00 start. This year, we will continue to explore the known and less known chapters of a thousand years of music history in a unique cross-section and with an unusual perspective, while the basic theme of the performances remains the same: it is simply impossible not to go home humming.

The Transparent Sound New Music Festival was launched in 2014 on the initiative of composers Balázs Horváth and Samu Gryllus, with the collaboration of several well-known Budapest concert halls and organizations. In 2020, Marcell Dargay joined the team as the third artistic director. The curators consider it important to present not only the latest works, but also frequently referenced, influential pieces from the history of new music. The House of Music has been one of the festival's main venues for four years now.
Our planned new series is the sister of our regularly sold-out "Joy, Music, Club Life" session. However, as the name suggests, the focus is not on playing music together, but on listening to music and creating music-inspired art.
