Games – Audiovisual Workshop by Nándor Götz
This programme is held in Hungarian.
György Kurtág will celebrate his 100th birthday in 2026. Our concert program was inspired by the master's piano cycle entitled Játékok (Toys), in which we present the important role of playfulness in our lives through the language of music and visuals.
Students of the Bartók Conservatory's classical and jazz departments can explore the intersections of performance and creative arts through improvisation, compositional thinking, and collaboration with other artistic institutions. They will gain a motivating insight into distant lands and cultures around the world, inspired by discovery.
The creative work will result in new musical compositions, transcriptions, short musical films, and multidisciplinary performances.
The Bartók Conservatory's classical and jazz departments, as well as students from the Academy of Music, the Secondary School of Fine Arts, the Hungarian National Ballet Institute, and the Aladár Tóth Music School will also participate.
