Sounds of Nature – Musical Journey in an Acoustic Space
Sounds of Nature – Musical Journey in an Acoustic Space
This program is held in Hungarian.
This programme’s goal is for the unique architectural properties of the House of Music’s Foyer to briefly become a kind of living sound space, where the spectacle of nature blends with the space’s extraordinary acoustics and the musical sounds of nature. Positioned in different parts of the Foyer, the instruments amplify and emphasise this effect – by placing each of the performing musicians in a different location, a wide array of echo effects is naturally created.
The Bartók Conservatory – New Music event is in its 12th year at the preparatory school for the Liszt Academy. The programme is not an official part of the curriculum. Instead, it has the aim of expanding the musical range of the students and equipping them with tools of expression for interpreting the music of today. The organisers believe it is vital to involve the students as much as possible in diverse activities. The students then perform their work in concert during a project day in spring. The young musicians spend months preparing for these events – most of which deal with more relaxed themes.
