From the Chaconne to Soundpainting
From the Chaconne to Soundpainting
This programme is held in Hungarian.
The Tritonus Guitar Trio - members: Levente Molnár, Gergely Szurgyi, and Bálint Varga - have been continuously expanding their repertoire since their formation in 2015, selecting pieces from various musical eras and creating their own arrangements.
Their goal is to introduce the audience to pieces that are rarely heard on three guitars and to reach more people with the classical guitar music they represent. For this concert, they are preparing an enjoyable, audience-friendly program that showcases orderliness, elevation, monumentality, but also playfulness, lightness, and dance. The latter is related to one of the central concepts of the program, the chaconne: this word was originally the name of a 16th-century dance, but nowadays it is used more as a genre designation – nothing illustrates this better than the fact that in addition to the works of Baroque masters, a piece by a contemporary Hungarian composer with the same title will also be performed. The other keyword of the evening is soundpainting, which concertgoers can delve into under the guidance of Ádám Darázs.
Covered Open-air Stage concerts
The program will be held even in rainy weather, as the Open-air Stage is largely covered.
