Anyone who found their way here while browsing the House of Music’s family programs probably doesn’t need to be convinced that MUSIC is a good thing. And that it’s good, important, useful – and of course the list could go on – to become friends with it already in childhood. The only question is: exactly why? What is music even ‘good’ for? And while we’re at it: what makes music music?
The Hangadó Junior series burst into the life of the House of Music with huge success in the 2023–24 season, so in light of this we are repeating it and even announcing it in the form of a season pass! At these events, following the pattern of an entertaining show, through lots of games and laughter, we take a closer look at one big question of music (and of life, of course) at a time. With the help of recurring segments such as the funny music-history, making music together, or the music-analysis workout. At the first event of the series, we immediately try to find out what music actually is. We deal with questions such as: can you make music out of any sound? (We’ll tell you: yes. It’s just that not all of them are worth using! 😁) Can anyone make music? (Of course! If you come, we’ll prove it!) What all is needed for something to become music? (Let’s leave something for the show, too! 😉)
Alongside all these essential things, we won’t forget the most important one either: that we have a good time. This will be ensured by Feri Tarr, the House of Music’s concert pedagogue, author of the popular book “Harmony, the Realm of Music”, as well as his invited guest. Who this time is none other than Balázs Alpár, a composer who graduated from the Liszt Academy of Music, film music composer (e.g.: Kuflik and Bab Berci series), musician (Fugato Orchestra, Fele Királyság), teacher, one of the smartest and most entertaining musicians around. Under their guidance, hopefully everyone will go home not only richer by one (good) experience, but also with the question: All right, but why do we listen to music at all? For this will be the topic of the next Hangadó Junior event, on 16 January, with the participation of the actors of the Momentán Company!
