CONTACT - Zsolt Kaltenecker's first neoclassical pianoconcert

Zsolt Kaltenecker began working in the summer of 2025 on a new solo piano project, most closely associated with the neoclassical style. Although audiences may know Zsolt primarily as a jazz pianist, he sees jazz more as a starting point for exploring different genres, whether contemporary electronic music, trip-hop or progressive metal. So the next step seems almost logical: neoclassical piano music, which involves pieces written note for note, yet has a connection—not so much to jazz in the traditional sense, but to free improvisation in the broader sense, since all of Zsolt’s compositions grow out of recorded improvisations.
The first album, titled Contact , was released in September 2025. The second album is expected to be released around the time of the concert and will feature several pieces already released as standalone songs, as well as new compositions.
