Imaginary and real film music – Son Lux arrives at the House of Music with their new album. The elusive musical world of Son Lux is capable of transporting our minds to the most diverse places: the band questions everything we think about making music and meticulously constructs its raw, at other times ethereal melodies. Son Lux is as if they had been composing music from the very beginning for the images playing out in our imagination, so it is no wonder that over time they became the composers for more and more actual films, for which they received Oscar and BAFTA nominations. This time, however, they are working on their ninth studio album, which they will also present here on March 23, 2027, at the House of Hungarian Music.
Son Lux strives to challenge the usual assumptions about making music, and from the level of the tiniest building blocks to create their own system of rules: shaping a musical language fueled by curiosity and built on the balance of opposites. Over the past two decades, the band has released numerous recordings characterized by both raw emotional intimacy and meticulously crafted electronic soundscapes, while performing at major venues and festivals around the world. Son Lux composed the score for A24’s Oscar-winning film Everything Everywhere All at Once, for which they received two Oscar nominations and a BAFTA nomination; they are also responsible for the music of Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts (2025) and the upcoming Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother (2026).
Son Lux will release their ninth studio album this fall, titled Out Into, and following its release they will embark on a world tour, returning to us after four years on March 23, 2027, at the House of Hungarian Music.
