DOME_021 Platon Karataev: Napkötöző
This programme is held in Hungarian.
Platon Karataev’s fourth album, *Napkötöző*, was released in the spring of 2024, and we got our first taste of it at the House of Music—in a rather unique setting.
The central symbol of the new album this time is the Sun, which will rise for the first time in the Hangdóm space, projected onto every point of the hemispherical screen. This is an exciting experiment, as this time a three-dimensional, continuous, short-film-style collection of music videos—an unusually thrilling visual representation of quite a few songs from the new album—will be presented in this unconventional space.
Platon Karataev, meanwhile, continues on the path he began earlier: drawing from guitar music traditions, he blends his music with mystical lyrics. Ákos Székely envisioned the visual world for the songs that form the backbone of the band’s new album.
Duration: 22 minutes
Age recommendation:
We recommend this screening for ages 6 and up.
The songs in the screening are performed in Hungarian, but this does NOT affect the experience.
