The Royal Opera – Bizet: Carmen
Szervezés:
Sung in French, with English subtitles.
On a hot Spanish day, the unusually independent Carmen catches Don José’s attention. She warns him not to fall in love with her, but his obsession knows no bounds. Damiano Michieletto’s striking production returns, highlighting the passion, violence and destructive desires of Bizet’s evergreen opera.
A star-studded cast brings this sensuous drama to life, with Ginger Costa-Jackson in the title role and Russell Thomas as the jealous, desperate Don José. Following his 2023 Royal Opera debut, Sesto Quatrini returns to conduct Bizet’s thrilling and sensual score.
