DOME_RELOAD

DOME_RELOAD is the traditional festival at the beginning of the year celebrating the House of Music's Sound Dome, a unique, immersive cinema. In 2026, we will once again welcome visitors with a week-long, exclusive program: re-screenings of our popular films combined with audience Q&As, the debut of two new Sound Dome films, and, as a further novelty, the launch of two new series at once – Sound Dome concerts and 360° concert films – with a performance by Meybahar, accompanied by a screening of our film DOME 016 Csontváry: Levante, as well as recordings of two previous House of Music concerts (Makrohang, Vad Fruttik), which we adapted to the dome's 360° space and sound system to give everyone a very special experience with these short concert films.

DOME_RE_LIVE
We will replay some of our favorite previously made immersive films as part of themed days, accompanied by audience meetings, so that the audience can ask questions of the creators of the content invited to RE_LIVE. This time, the focus will be on animated short films and screenings inspired by the visual arts.

DOME_LIVE premiere screenings

Two new films are making their debut in this year's DOME_RELOAD program: Partita for 8 Voices and Continuum. Both films are dome films by Canada's Hubblo. Partita for 8 Voices is a captivating visual and audio experience that transports viewers into the heart of Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Caroline Shaw's work of the same name. Continuum offers emotionally rich and stunning images through an immersive experience that captivates the viewer and transports them into the beauty of outer space.

DOME_360° concerts

In the spring of 2025, our colleagues recorded two highly successful concerts with a 360-degree camera. The performances by Makrohang and Vad Fruttik offered a truly unique audiovisual experience, the former accompanied by powerful light and sound effects, the latter an intimate concert inviting the audience on an inner journey. The Sound Dome dome is the most suitable venue for playing these back, as the technology here allows us to see and hear the concert as if we were sitting among the band.

DOME_RE_PLAY

In addition to the premiere and RE_LIVE screenings, a new and exciting project will also be introduced during the week: RE_PLAY, in which a band plays live to an existing Sound Dome film. The first such event will feature the global music ensemble Meybahar, inspired by Greek and Asian musical cultures, accompanying one of Sound Dome's films, DOME 016 Csontváry: Levante, with their music.
