Warhaus, the solo project of Belgian musician Maarten Devoldere, has long been one of Europe’s most popular acts on the indie-dandy art-pop scene. In 2025, Warhaus played a highly successful sold-out show at the House of Music Hungary in support of his fourth album. Now he returns on 13 March 2027 to present his fifth LP, The Donkey, a record that sees him surrendering to a more instinctive kind of energy. Ticket sales for the concert begin on 16 September.

Maarten Devoldere, singer, guitarist, pianist and frontman of the popular Belgian indie-pop band Balthazar, is now preparing to release the fifth studio album of his solo project, Warhaus. On The Donkey, he seems to give himself over to something more instinctive: hypnotic lyrics, raw vocals, tribal rhythms inspired by South African gqom, and propulsive grooves infused with grime come together in music that almost conjures up images of bodies moving feverishly on the dancefloor.

Listening to the latest singles, Simple Pleasures and The Baby, one question naturally arises: how will this duality translate to the stage? Will the evening be defined by the refined elegance of Simple Pleasures? Or will the room turn into a hot, late-night club on the verge of closing, driven by the wild, startling howl of The Baby?

Warhaus refuses to choose between the two. And why should he, when both can exist at the same time? Devoldere will, of course, draw extensively from the driving new material of The Donkey, while also making room for sophisticated pop songs and the familiar classics that have become indispensable parts of the Warhaus repertoire.
