Have lunch with a concert!
As part of the House of Hungarian Music’s Lunchtime series, you can enjoy short concerts by young talents over your lunch break, with plenty of time left to eat after the 40-minute mini-concerts.
In February, enjoy a jazz concert over lunch by young talents from the Bartók Conservatory.
The band is made up of students from the Bartók Conservatory, all of whom have been playing music since they were young. The guitarist, Ákos Scheller; bassist Máté Damó; drummer Balázs Hajnal; and guest pianist Attila Vajda are all in their final year, while the band’s namesake saxophonist, Lél Szilárd Liska, is in his third year. Each member also has their own group, and several have already performed at various House of Hungarian Music programs.
Ákos, Máté and Balázs also play together in a band called One Time, while Atti has his own quartet, whose debut album, The First Step, was recently released. Lél plays in both his own trio and a quartet.
At the February 18 Lunchtime concert, the students will offer a glimpse into the world of classic and modern jazz, evoking the work of John Coltrane and Kenny Garrett.
If you would also like to have lunch at the House of Music’s Trilla restaurant after the concert, please remember to make a table reservation in advance using the contact details below:
