“During the three days of Carnival, you didn’t take me to the dance; if you still don’t take me today, you can’t douse me at Easter!” – so goes the teaching in the Hungarian folk song about carnival time. So what is our task now? Let our spirits glow tulip-red, let’s dance and make merry! From Budapest to Brazil, from Barcelona to Berlin, carnival music and cheerful dance tunes enliven February. The Musical Nature Orchestra of the House of Music, Hungary prepares for this day with a cavalcade of carnival music, featuring Hungarian and exotic pieces, light and classical music alike. Don’t forget your dancing mood, your face-covering mask, or even your costume at home!

The latest thematic series of the highly successful crossover orchestra of the House of Music, Hungary helps families get into a festive mood. And in quite a special way! Masters of various musical genres such as Béla Ágoston, multi-instrumentalist musician, founder of Zuboly; Sára Bolyki, folk singing teacher at the Liszt Academy and vocalist of Jazzation; László Heigl, the excellent double bassist known from the band Misztrál and other ensembles; Gergely Tar – percussion teacher at PEMA University of Popular Music; Áron Tálas, the young virtuoso of jazz piano; László Szlama – koboz and citera teacher at the Liszt Academy, and Young Master of Folk Art – have joined forces under the leadership of Anna Gulyás, singer and music educator at the House of Music, Hungary, to make music together! Music that spans times, eras, peoples and genres, with charming games tailored to the ears of the little ones: a truly refined festive tuning-in!
