Beethoven Board Game with Barnabás Kelemen
Szervezés:
This programme is held in Hungarian.
The Beethoven experience continues to resonate throughout music history. No other composer has singlehandedly brought about such a radical transformation in almost every area of classical music as he did. A new era truly began with him. We still need his music and his ideas today. We listen to what he says and marvel at how he says it. The House of Music pays tribute to his genius with a special concert. The chamber concert features characteristic excerpts from Beethoven’s works, ranging from duos to quintets, under the artistic direction of Barnabás Kelemen. The sequence of movements forms a story in its own right, brought together by a conversation between Barnabás Kelemen and András Batta.
Violinist Barnabás Kelemen is a versatile and open-minded artist who captivates as a soloist, chamber musician and festival director, and also teaches at prestigious universities. Thanks to his superb sense of style and extensive technical expertise, he is at home throughout the entire violin repertoire. A sensitive and experienced chamber musician, he co-founded the Kelemen Quartet with his wife, Katalin Kokas. The quartet is a regular guest at the world’s most famous concert halls and festivals.
