Our series is the sibling of our regularly sold‑out session titled “Joy, Music, Club Life.” However—as the name also suggests—here the focus is not on playing music together, but much more on listening to music and creating inspired by music. The bi-monthly sessions are thematic: participants can encounter different musical worlds and creative techniques. We are now approaching the seventh occasion. Its musical theme is the era of Classicism. The creative technique is tempera paint and the keyword: form.
The aim of our series “Joy–Music–Creation” is that after playing music together, we can also discover the joy of creating inspired by music! With the help of creative activity we develop our imagination, we can unfold our creative energies while breaking away from everyday life. We hope that during the session we will discover the joy inherent in attentive, shared music listening and in focused creation. All this can be done in the familiar, pleasant club atmosphere, relaxing over a cup of tea. We believe that creativity lies within everyone, and participation requires no prior artistic training or drawing skills. What does the music of the Classical era tell us? Inspired by the pieces we listen to, we can express in the pictures we create the thoughts and feelings the music evokes in us, focusing on its mood, repetitions, and melodies.
The musical part of the session is led by music educator Dóra Tápai, and the creative exercises are led by Judit Kőszegi‑Simon.
