In one of the most special spaces of the House of Music Hungary, the Sound Dome, in addition to the 360° film screenings and DOME_LIVE events, our series of Sound Dome Concerts, launched in February, now also fills this unusual venue with live music productions. This time an entirely unclassifiable ensemble playing astonishingly original music, Programmed Cell Death , takes the stage, accompanying one of the most popular and longest-running Sound Dome films, DOME 008_Bosch: The Garden of Earthly Delights , with their music.
Programmed Cell Death was formed in 2018 through the collaboration of singer-pianist György Philipp, cellist Endre Kertész and actor-percussionist Zoltán Mózes, soon joined by woodwind player Zsolt Bartek. According to their own genre definition, they play “dissonant, melodic consonances with groovy polyrhythms, sprinkled with genuine wonderment.” PSH is one of the elusive islands of the art of the moment: strange figures (just like in the Bosch film), distorted attempts, dense chords, filigree melodic arches. At this concert, due to the absence of György Philipp, the band is joined by FM Lili.
Endre Kertész is a first-generation musician. He was born in Szentendre and received his diploma at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, studying with the principal cellist of the Vienna Philharmonic. Since moving back home, he has led a very diverse musical life and has tried his hand in many areas: in addition to his classical training, he improvises at a high level and plays jazz, rock, pop, folk, world and electronic music; he also performs with contemporary dancers (Pál Frenák, Klári Pataky, Kata Juhász, Krisztián Gergye), in theatre (Radnóti, Budaörsi, Karinthy, RS9) and at exhibitions. His current ensembles include: Budapest Improvisers Orchestra, Soharóza Choir, Sickratman Intim Kártett, a Gecó és a Fa, ¡Nosnach, More von dir, Zóra Band, the András Cseh & György Bartók Trio and Edina Mókus Szirtes’s band, but as a freelance musician he appears in many other formations and productions as well.
Zoltán Mózes is a freelance performing artist whose primary instrument is the drums. For thirteen years he has been a regular creative partner of Gábor Goda’s Artus Company and is a founding member of the Kompánia Theatre Company. He has also worked with Béla Pintér, György Phillip, the Bab Company, as a composer and musician with the Cipolla Collective, Grotesque Gymnastics, the physical theatre department of the University of Theatre and Film Arts, and the Vojtina Puppet Theatre. In November 2025, the production Foltmanók premiered with great success at the House of Music Hungary, for which he composed the music. He is a permanent member of the bands Napokon and Programmed Cell Death, as well as of Péter Jakab’s band, and has appeared as a guest musician with Szeder, Soulbreakers, Terra Profonda, Dorota, Napfonat and Jü. His first solo album was released in May 2026 on the Klinik Label.
Clarinetist Zsolt Bartek is one of the most versatile and active performers on the Hungarian contemporary music and musical theatre scene. Thanks to his rich instrumental skills and creative performance artistry, his playing can be heard in a wide range of productions and formations: from classical chamber concerts and premieres of contemporary works to theatrical performances.
Flóra Lili Matisz (FM Lili) has been involved with music since childhood and obtained her degree from the Liszt Academy’s jazz department with a major in voice. For more than fifteen years she has been working as a theatre composer in Hungary and abroad; she currently has ten pieces in the repertoire of Katona József Theatre, Örkény Theatre, Studio K and the Deutsches Theater in Berlin. She has composed music for more than forty theatre productions in total, often also participating as a musical contributor; her body of work so far exceeds seven hundred pieces of music. After earlier formations, these days she usually performs with her solo project.
