Voices of the Wind Music A Celebration of Hungarian Composers for Wind Ensemble

On this day, the concerts of the Institute of Music of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Pécs fill the spaces of the House of Music. The Pécs Saxophone Ensemble has been active since 2022; before that, from 2018 they played together occasionally during summer camps. This is how the idea was born: why not organize a camp where there are only saxophone orchestra rehearsals? Thus, in recent years they have held only saxophone orchestra camps in Baja. In addition to the course itself, their program has included street music and church concerts. The members of the ensemble are students of the Pécs Secondary School of Arts, Vocational Secondary School and Technical School, as well as saxophone students of the Institute of Music of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Pécs, but there are also graduated members who keep returning. Their master is Zsuzsanna Szendrői, saxophone artist and main subject teacher at the Institute of Music, assisted by Noémi Saller-Szőke, and Szabolcs Kiss, who conducts the group. Szabolcs has prepared several arrangements and his own compositions for the ensemble.
