Judit Halász: Csiribiri
Concert
Literature
Szervezés:
This programme is held in Hungarian.
Judit Halász, in parallel with her acting career, created a new genre as a performing artist. For decades she has been singing poems by Hungarian poets – set to music by the finest of Hungarian light music – specifically for children. Generations have grown up listening to her records.
After 18 released albums, for the first time a full-length film concert was recorded with the artist. At the “Csirbiri” concert, a selection from the musical material of the film concert can be heard, which gathers together the most popular works of Judit Halász’s unique career.
Most recently, in the autumn of 2021, her album “A vitéz, a kalóz, meg a nagymama” (“The Brave Knight, the Pirate and Grandma”) was released, followed in the autumn of 2022 by a compilation album entitled “Miénk a világ” (“The World Is Ours”).
She considers her most important mission to be maintaining families’ and children’s interest in Hungarian poetry and, by entertaining them unobtrusively in the form of songs, drawing their attention to the many important rules of life to which we must adapt if we want to live according to the ethics of humanism.
Children – for the first time in Hungary – chose her as a Knight of the Order of the Smile. She is a member of the Vígszínház Theatre and a board member of UNICEF Hungary. The Hungarian state has honoured her work so far with the Mari Jászai and Meritorious Artist prizes, the Officer’s Cross of the Republic of Hungary, as well as the Kossuth Prize.
