We Give Voice – 18th National Conference on Museum Education
How can museums truly become accessible to everyone? How can they give a voice and space to social groups that are less frequently represented in the world of museums? These questions will take center stage at the 18th National Museum Education Conference on November 2–3, 2026.
Organized by the Hungarian Open Air Museum – Museum Education and Methodology Centre, in partnership with the House of Music Hungary, this two-day professional event will focus this year on the representation, engagement and inclusion of people living on the margins of society and facing social disadvantage in museums.
The 21st Autumn Festival of Museums will provide opportunities for shared reflection through presentations, moderated discussions, interactive forums and demonstrations of museum education practices.
The conference welcomes museum educators, museologists, cultural professionals, teachers, university students and anyone interested in the social role of museums.
Advance registration and ticket purchase are required. The participation fee also includes admission to the House of Music Hungary’s permanent and temporary exhibitions.
