Improvisation, yet not quite improvisation: three chamber musicians perform works they have never played together before – at the concert of Ditta Rohmann (cello), Eszter Kruchió (violin) and Imre Dani (piano) we can experience this special and rare event. The artists offer the very best of Viennese Classical and early Romantic chamber music – works by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven and Mendelssohn – from which the audience can choose what they would like to hear, and the three brave performers will then play them on the spot, without any prior rehearsal process. In this way we can discover aspects of making music together and of the interaction between the musicians that a more conventional chamber concert does not usually provide, and at the same time we can all, to a certain extent, become programme editors ourselves.
Ditta Rohmann is a versatile musician who appears both as a soloist in major concert halls and as a regular participant in productions that expand the traditional framework of concerts (and lately even as an actress). In the summer of 2025 she and Balázs Bujtor presented a musical stand-up evening on our Open-Air Stage, and in addition she has already appeared twice at our venue with her project entitled Cello XXL. Eszter Kruchió likewise has an extremely diverse performing profile in which chamber music plays an important role: previously our audience could hear her in January 2025 as a member of the Chaos String Quartet. In addition to his solo recitals, pianist Imre Dani is also highly active in the field of chamber music: among other things, he is a founder of the Weiner Ensemble and a member of the Ludium Ensemble; in 2023 he appeared at the House of Music as a partner of István Várdai.
