Jenő Fekete & the Band

Jenő Fekete is a defining figure of the Hungarian blues scene. The EMERTON Award-winning performer is known from numerous influential Hungarian blues bands. In 1986, he was a founding member of Palermo Boogie Gang, in the nineties of Muddy Shoes, and later he played in Chicago Blues Union and in the latest Budapest Blues Band led by Hobo. As a guitarist-singer who nurtures the roots and folk traditions of American blues music, he has been an active participant in Hungarian and international festivals and clubs for four decades now. During the evening, alongside blues classics, his own songs will also be featured. In 2019, his album Sárarany, containing Hungarian-language compositions, was released; his band also includes the likewise EMERTON Award-winning pianist Gyula Bacsa (Palermo Boogie Gang, Hiperkarma, CockLers), bassist Zsolt “Zsoci” Szatai and drummer Attila Móré.
