István Márta: Kaleidoscope
István Márta: Kaleidoscope
Seventy years old this year, István Márta, the Erkel Prize-winning festival founder and organiser, theatre director and community-building composer, will give an unconventional concert performance in the concert hall of the House of Music Hungary. There will be no bouquet of flowers, no celebratory speech and no tearful reminiscence, but there will be a strange kaleidoscope of sound – evoking various stages of her life's work. Electro-acoustic and multimedia musical compositions, baroque-style theses, bittersweet canons, compositions that have become textbooks and worldviews, all details of the life's work of a unique and self-contained, part composer.
According to current regulations, from March 7, 2022, it is no longer obligatory to wear a mask when visiting the House of Music Hungary. Concerts, programs and exhibitions can be attended without a vaccination certificate or card.
Nevertheless we still encourage you to wear a mask during concerts. All current rules are subject to change based on the all-time rules and regulations of the government. We kindly ask you to check all current regulations for your event on our website before your visit in each case.
