Kaszap Atilla and Kerékgyártó Gergely's concert is a true musical time travel: a celebration of the shared story of two friends and musicians who have been inseparable for twenty years.
The two artists began as citera players and later earned degrees from the Nyíregyháza College's vocal–music, folk-music program, where during their dormitory years they bonded as roommates and later as musicians. Since then they have expanded their experience, knowledge and shared memories by playing in numerous bands alongside the country's outstanding lead fiddlers.
The concert program recalls the most important musical milestones of these two decades: moods, lessons, adventures and the ensembles that shaped Atilla's and Gergely's professional paths. On stage this time they take center stage — telling their story through the sounds of citera, viola, double bass, saxophone and voice. The friends and masters joining as guests — with violin, cimbalom and string accompaniment — connect to this shared journey not only musically but emotionally as well, turning the concert into a true meeting: a festive intertwining of past and present, friendship and music.
