The interactive educational series Hangadó by Árpád Tóth, which is as old as the House itself, has reached its 5th season. In the 2026/27 season, we will once again explore the well-known and lesser‑known chapters of a thousand years of music history through special cross‑sections and unusual perspectives, while the basic premise of the events remains unchanged: it is simply impossible to leave this event without humming to yourself on the way home.
One of the most essential characteristics of music is that it is created by layering different strata on top of one another. Periods, genres, and composers use these layers differently, according to their style and distinctive features. It is particularly interesting to see when and which layers composers place on top of each other, since often a single sounding layer also has a meaning of its own. In the presentation, we will jointly unravel the different sounding layers of certain works, thereby revealing their secrets and deeper meanings.
