Do your friends not even open Shazam anymore, and just ask you right away? Is Spotify one of your favorite apps? Is your Facebook feed constantly full of music fun facts? Do you have carefully curated playlists? Has it ever happened that you showed a newly discovered track to your friends and, seeing their confusion, you had a hard time explaining why and in what way it’s such a good piece of music? If you recognized yourself in the above, this won’t be a big revelation: you are a true music fan! Just like we are. For you and fellow music gurus like us, we created the quiz series titled Basszus, tudtam! in the Pop Culture Club Library of the House of Hungarian Music.
If you’re curious how at home you really are in the world of music, this is the place for you! We’re accepting applications from teams of up to five people. The roughly two-hour quiz night—as you might have guessed from the above—is more recommended for advanced players or at least for those who aren’t complete novices in the world of music. You should primarily prepare for a pop culture, pop music quiz, but questions from the field of classical music may also sneak in.
We’re also pleased to announce that from autumn 2025, thanks to our collaboration with MONYO Brewing, in addition to the existing prize codes redeemable for tickets to the House of Music, the winning team will also receive a valuable gift package made up of the brewery’s most exciting beers and soft drinks!
