Man with a Movie Camera (1929)
In light of the popularity of last year’s Soundtracks for Silent Films series, the House of Music Hungary will be re-screening the 1929 Dziga Vertov classic Man with a Movie Camera. One of the most revolutionary and influential works the Soviet silent film industry ever produced, it aimed for nothing less than to establish a pure and universal international language for motion pictures. In keeping with the traditions of the silent film era, the screening will be accompanied by improvised live music, performed again this year by pianist Dalma Felszegi, violinist Zoltán Lantos and DJ Panda (Marcus Nagy).
