Szilvia Bognár: Folk Songs, Worldmusic for Children

Anyone who has attended any concert of Szilvia Bognár can surely speak of her kindness, her wonderful voice, and her deeply emotional performance. It is no wonder that her work was recognized with the Prima Award in 2024. However, the most sincere recognition always comes from the children, whom she delights this time with new folk music material in her usual playful manner.

The show entitled “Little Bedspread, Little Pillow”, debuting in the spring, in a new lineup and orchestration, is a worthy continuation of previous productions: primarily evoking and processing the songs of children's weddings and real weddings, as well as the moments of their playful customs, but also preserving the connection to the natural order of the yearly cycle. So, let's see who will get on the wagon and start playing? Perhaps a maiden fair will unfold, or maybe we will witness some playful teasing or a humorous wedding? One thing is certain: singing, makeshift music from hands, alongside common dance and festivities cannot be missed!
