SOLD-OUT - Ramazuri - Unusual instruments
The program is in Hungarian.
If you present a piano at a concert and ask children what instrument they see, most will be able to shout out the right answer. With the cello, they will often call out “violiiiiin!” Just like the tuba will often be a “trumpet”, or the clarinet a “recorder”. There is no question that there are some ‘star’ instruments that everyone knows. But if you mention the didgeridoo?! Even pronouncing it is tricky! Or the kaval? Beatboxing, perhaps? Well, these are truly special instruments that can be used to conjure up some genuinely thrilling music. And as you get to know them, you can also learn a lot about instruments in general, and music as a whole. This is what we would like to demonstrate in this special edition of RAMAZURI event. Just as before, the House of Music will be transformed as it welcomes families to roam around and take part in a wide variety of activities. In fact, anyone who collects stamps for their ‘passport’ in the various places they visit will earn a reward from the House of Music! And also learn how to say ‘didgeridoo’!
Ramazuri – Music from A to Z, for both children and adults, from concerts to workshops – is a monthly series of events which aims to provide entertainment for the whole family.
