Kylie Minogue evening with live band
What happens when, within the walls of the concert hall, we not only listen to the music, but also make it ourselves?
LokálVokál offers a unique form of community music experience in Hungary: a pop music evening accompanied by a live band, where the audience is not a passive recipient, but an active participant in the concert. The band plays on stage, while the participants, sitting in the auditorium and singing together, shape the musical arc of the evening.
This time, one of pop history’s iconic, emotionally rich songs takes centre stage: Kylie Minogue – Especially For You. During the nearly two-hour evening, participants – without any prior musical training – learn the song step by step, split into three vocal parts, and at the end of the concert they perform it as a several-hundred-strong choir accompanied by a live band.
At the start of the evening, a playful band-style vocal warm-up with excerpts from well-known Kylie Minogue songs helps everyone get in the mood. The focus is not on performance, but on the liberating experience of making music together.
The joint singing is guided throughout by Eszter Jakobicz, the host of LokálVokál, who in a light and informal way helps everyone find their place in the shared sound.
This is not a rehearsal, not a performance and not karaoke – but a one-off, unrepeatable shared musical moment in which the concert truly “belongs to you”.
