Musicians' Café: Tibor Taligás
Tibor Taligás is a Founder Member of the Hungarian Bar Pianists’ Association. Five years old when he first took up his instrument, the piano, he was soon bringing it to new artistic heights during his studies. To this day, bar piano playing remains the genre of music closest to his heart, as it is this aspect of the profession that offers performers the broadest repertoire and the greatest diversity of styles to work with. He has been playing with unremitting success both at home in Hungary and in many countries abroad for more than 40 years now. In 2004, he took second place at the Bar Pianist Competition. He is an adherent of the American style, the origin of bar piano playing, which accents his sound with a subtle jazz influence. We will be greeting our guests with a welcome drink, and true to the spirit of the Musicians’ Café, dinner and drinks will also be available at the concert venue.
