Petra Várallyay – Author's Evening

Three years ago, Petra performed her own violin concerto at the Liszt Academy to resounding aprobation from audiences and professionals alike. Since then, she has travelled around the Netherlands and, following her studies at the Conservatorium Maastricht, she is once again actively participating in Budapest’s cultural life as both a performer and as a composer. Her recital in May will also be something special because, in addition to the premiere of her own piece for string orchestra and string quartet, she will lead the orchestra in Mozart's Violin Concerto in D major, which she will personalise with some cadenzas she has written especially for this concert. This time, the Junior Prima Prize winner will lift her audience from moving depths to soul-stirring heights with the Anima Musicae Chamber Orchestra, which is equally at home in classical concertos and contemporary works.
