Circle Songs with Veronika Harcsa
This programme is held in Hungarian.
Perhaps the easiest way to spontaneously connect with a community is through music. Participants in the interactive event get the opportunity to take part – with no expectation of existing musical abilities – in some carefree singing, which, through the shared rhythm, shared dynamics, and group cohesion, becomes in turn a true musical experience. We welcome anyone, regardless of their prior level of training, who feels inclined to create music as they explore the potential of their voices and start to use it as a resource to connect with a community.
Veronika Harcsa has sung music in many genres ranging from jazz to electronica and contemporary works, and she completed her degree in music therapy from the University of Pécs in 2024. Her passion is utilising the human voice beyond conventional ways of making sound. Drawing on her own improvisational experiences, she has designed these sessions where technique is placed in the service of the experience, and everyone can connect to the greater whole at their own level of musical skill.
