Kaláka- From the Carpathians to the Caribbean Sea- Film screening
This programme is held in Hungarian.
Four members of a band set off to a city they have been singing about for decades but have never been to. In Cartagena, Colombia, they sing for the first time in their lives Sándor Kányádi's love poem Romance, written for the city. The Kaláka band, which has been making music for 55 years, is now in its third generation of musicians. "Kaláka" means the same thing to Hungarians everywhere in the world: linguistic and cultural community, togetherness through poems and songs - from the Carpathians to the Caribbean.
