Komák
Komák
This programme is held in Hungarian.
The Komák, three musician friends who, in addition to their many professional ties, are also godparents of each other's children, will perform the folk music of the Hungarians of Moldavia and Gyimes in the eastern part of Romania. The name of the Komák ensemble also reflects the bond between the members, who are godparents of each other's children. Their repertoire is mainly Moldavian and Gyimes dance music. Előd works as a teacher of Moldavian dances, while Dani and Laci are also folk music researchers. All three have spent a lot of time with village musicians, collecting their repertoire and studying their style. Their concert performances are characterised by an authentic interpretation of folk music and a playful, spontaneous ensemble playing learned from the old masters.
