The program is held in Hungarian.
The Micro-Folie virtual museum, which exhibits the treasures of the world’s largest collections in a single space, will be on display in the foyer of the House of Music from 7 to 20 March. The installation will be accompanied by two educational lectures by art historian Júlia Katona. The theme on the first occasion: The music and architecture of Paris at the turn of the century Where did Parisians of the turn of the century go to listen to music? What buildings and venues were the most popular? What types of buildings and interior spaces were home to the various kinds of musical events? The Paris of the turn of the century was a world full of excitement that still has something new to reveal even today. Its Opera House was designed by Charles Garnier and built in the second half of the 19th century, while various concert halls, bars and cafés played host to more lighthearted genres of music and entertainment. In the course of the performance, we will visit each of these venues with the help of high-resolution paintings presented by the Micro-Folie project.
