Jorge Luis Pacheco is one of the most respected pianists of the new generation of Cuban jazz musicians. Originally from Havana, he rose to prominence as the winner of the Swiss Montreux Jazz Piano Solo Competition, his music is a fusion of Cuban jazz, Cuban and Afro-Cuban music, American jazz and classical music seasoned with a shot of contemporary pop and soul.
